Have you ever had a day (or week, or year) where it seemed that all the stress you could possibly feel in life was piling on? And to top it all off, your work added about 7,890% more anxiety to boot?
Needless to say, I was thrown for a loop today. Working remotely, far away from the office (in a completely different state, in fact), and some less-than-desirable things happened with some clients.
I had to put out fires in the morning for work, help take care of my little daughter, put out more fires, and prepare for a wedding.
So what do you do when it all hits the fan on the same day?
I had no choice but to confront everything head-on today. That said, I honestly don’t know if I really found the answer to this. Maybe the true answer simply is to push through the stink whenever it comes your way.
One thing I certainly learned is that it is a WHOLE lot harder to get through it all when you go at it alone.
If you have someone to rely on in any way, I would highly recommend doing so.
If you don’t, I’ve found that it really helps my attitude in these moments to make a mental list of 10 things I’m super grateful for that day.
At the end of it all, the most important thing is to remember the people in your life. Remember how your actions impact them.
Remember what you want for their lives (and for your own).
